FreedomWorks has begun discussions with Hawai'i Electric Co. (HECO) and Army Garrison Hawai'i, Schofield Barracks regarding wind power plant on O'ahu. Hawai'i recently established partnership with DoE to facilitate speedy transition from almost 90% pertroleum based HECO power generation at O'ahu to a 70% renewable generation benchmark. This will be a first for the Under States. FreedomWorks looks forward to an opportunity to contribute 75 MW renewable wind energy toward this goal.
